Two kinds of net red robots have appeared in Suzhou Yangcheng Lake Science and technology innovation park. Under the remote control of the staff, they drive slowly, or face up to the building, spray the disinfectant on the 30 meter high building, or spray a movable fan-shaped disinfection curtain wall about 300 degrees. This is the "intelligent and efficient sanitation and disinfection robot" independently developed by Suzhou poten Automation Co., Ltd. and the scientific research team of China Agricultural University and Suzhou University. On the basis of the early stage technology, they carried out technical iteration on the pesticide spraying robot used in the agriculture and forestry industry. By using the secondary atomization of pressure flow and wind power, they can spray disinfectant evenly and remotely to help prevent and control the epidemic situation.

"The droplets of disinfectant sprayed for epidemic prevention and control should be uniform in thickness." Geng Changxing, an associate professor at Suzhou University"s Center for robotics and Microsystems research, said that thick droplets tend to fall directly to the ground, while too thin droplets are easy to disperse. After that, the team researchers adjusted the spray flow and pressure system after commissioning, and finally tried to use 2 combinations of spray volume under 1 MPa pressure, which could deliver the liquid far and achieve the maximum degree of atomization.

"In this way, the droplet diameter is about 150 microns, close to the size of aerosol particles. At present, 84 disinfectant can be sprayed to increase the effective chlorine content in the air or buildings and reduce the possibility of virus transmission through aerosol Geng Changxing said that the team used the two atomization of the pressure flow and the wind power for the spray system of the robot, and then designed the special air duct. The horizontal spray of the robot can reach 30 meters, the droplet adhesion rate is high, and the utilization rate of the liquid is high.

After the success of the research and development, the field automation initiative contacted the Suzhou new crown epidemic prevention command and the Suzhou Red Cross Society to donate matters, and quickly debugged the two intelligent spray robots, and transferred them to the designated receiving units of Suzhou Red Cross Society.

The disinfection robot can be used in large indoor space, such as gymnasium, exhibition center, open hall, underground garage and other indoor places, hospitals, communities, schools, centralized epidemic prevention points, road checkpoints, stations, construction sites and other key places, as well as the environmental killing work of special vehicles and other moving objects.
